| The first three months of the year have already passed, and it’s fair to say that it has been an exciting quarter. One particular highlight was the E-world trade fair in Essen. This was the perfect opportunity to meet in person, exchange thoughts and discuss new opportunities. It’s been a pleasure to see the huge interest in our markets and the trust that you place in us.
We are also pleased with the first effects of our newly launched market making and rebate schemes. The quality of our order book has already improved and trading volumes on our gas derivatives markets in the first quarter are significantly higher than in the same period last year. We are confident that we can continue this success story and further increase trading activity on the exchange market.
One special addition is our newly-launched TTF Natural Gas Month Future, denominated in US$/MMBtu. We are confident that the new offering meets the needs our global trading community, in particular with a view to trading LNG contracts.
In 2024, we will pave the way for the integration of Baltic-Finnish gas markets currently operated by GET Baltic into EEX, planned for the first quarter of 2025. For all current trading participants of EEX, this will mean an extended product offering and an increased network of counterparties for trading. We are excited about this opportunity and believe that this has the potential to significantly increase liquidity in the region and allows for a deeper integration into our exiting pan-European gas offering here at EEX.

| Now available: USD-denominated TTF Natural Gas Month Futures
|
| On 15 April, EEX has successfully introduced TTF Natural Gas Month Futures denominated in USD/MMBtu. As a result, in addition to its already existing JKN LNG Natural Gas Futures, EEX now provides an expanded LNG related offering.

Gas Market Update
|
|
EEX Group’s natural gas markets comprising of both derivatives and spot markets continued a steady growth of 5% year-on-year amounting to 608.1 TWh in February, with continued significant increases on the UK NBP gas spot and derivatives markets, as well as the Italian PSV gas derivatives markets compared to February last year.
